This shoot is near and dear to my heart for many reasons.. Roman and Christina are two dear friends of mine, so naturally I was beyond excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding. These two have been friends for years, I remember just early last year hanging out with them and wondering if or when they’d get together! They also went out on a limb and took a chance with me, and let me shoot all film! So this was my very first all film session and I couldn’t be more excited about it! I’m heading out for Sacramento this afternoon, to shoot their big day this weekend.. So I figured it’d only be fitting to save the blog post for today!

Chad & Jess, to me, exude the definition of joyfulness. They are so laid back, and fun.. So I wanted our time together to be just that! I love going on “dates” with my couples, pretending to be paparazzi, directing them in little ways here and there, but also just having fun and capturing the moments as they play out. Their laughs are infectious, and despite the fact that it was, like, 50 degrees (which for a Californian like myself means practically freezing!) we had a blast. They both recently moved to Seattle, but I do plan on going up there to visit, and shoot them later this year! I’ll be announcing those dates – if any of you Seattle or Washington residents are interested in booking a shoot! Shoot me an email via the contact form , or just keep up to date by following the facebook page if you’d like to stay in the loop!
I first met Erika in the eighth grade. I had transferred into a new school in the middle of the year, I didn’t know anyone and I desperately wanted to make a good impression! Erika was in my second period english class and I remember thinking, “Who will my new friends be? She’s pretty. She’ll do!” Fast forward eight, much less shallow years later and I genuinely believe she will be a life long friend. I remember when Erika and I would walk with David to class, none of us had a clue what their future held. It’s been so awesome to watch these two go from friends to best friends, and best friends to best friends… for life! I couldn’t be more overjoyed to document their big day.

This post makes me very happy for so many reasons. I just love these two, so much. I’ve known Serj since he strolled into my high school youth group like he owned the place, about eight years ago. Little did I know that that hardcore kid with the emo hair would later become like a brother to me. Jasmine (or, Jazzy, as I like to call her!) and I have been close for about the past year. Goodness, I can not speak more highly of her. Needless to say when this relationship started to pan out I was elated – I cannot picture a better match for each other. It’s the biggest joy to see two dear friends become one.. I’m eagerly anticipating flying out to Nashville this coming April to shoot their wedding! So, without further adieu… Serj & Jazzy!

I’m constantly posting preview’s of the latest shoots on the S’Wonderful Photography facebook page, but if you’re not following my facebook page you won’t see all the fun new things that are happening! So here’s to posting more blog previews, because they look prettier on my blog, and not everyone is as involved with social media as I am.
Also, I’m putting together Christmas Mini-Sessions for the weekend after Thanksgiving.. So if you’re interested in getting Christmas photos done, keep a spot open that weekend open and stay tuned for more details, that will be announced within the next few days! I can’t believe how quickly this month is passing by.. I’m already almost completely booked up until Christmas, and am already booking weddings for next Summer! Here’s to being thankful! Happy monday, and happy november.
